BS 7036 safety at powered doors for pedestrian use

The purpose of this standard is to provide a guide to the safety recommendations applicable to powered pedestrian door installations. Regarding the design, installation, operation and ongoing maintenance of automatic doors.

Here at Access Solutions Northern we work to the BS 7036 regulations when manufacturing, repairing and installing automatic doors in order to ensure that your door meets the strict health and safety requirements. All engineers at Access solutions Northern are BS 7036 Authorized technicians, and work to the highest standard of safety.

All automatic doors are required to be maintained at 6 monthly intervals  to ensure that the doors are operating at their optimal performance and that all safety systems are operating correctly.

Although the BS 7036 is not law, it would be used in any incident involving an automatic door that ended up in court.
